Knowing your bottom line on the Medicare cases you treat can be powerful information. Navigate Profitability allows to you examine the types and numbers of Medicare cases you treat in a given time period. You can then examine your profit/loss for each of these cases and quickly determine if your highest volume DRGs are profitable. Navigate Profitability also allows you to drill down further to look at sources of reimbursement to determine profitability. It provides analysis of cost as a percent to total for a large number of cost categories to determine which ones are responsible for the highest costs.
When coupled with DataBay’s Navigate software, Navigate Profitability becomes even more powerful. Use Navigate to determine what percent of your overall cases are reimbursed by Medicare, and then use Navigate Profitability to determine how profitable you are for these cases. These two tools used in combination increase your ability to determine future strategic direction.
