About Us    –   Overview    –   DataBay Resources History

DataBay Resources is a national leader in market analysis systems. For nearly a decade, it has provided valuable, customized health care market intelligence software, reporting services and analysis tools to improve the market and financial positions of hospitals, health systems and ambulatory surgery centers.

Reporting and analysis was initially offered regionally through HCMAS (Health Care Market Analysis System), a software product of Weston Medical Data Systems (WMDS.) Amerinet Central purchased the HCMAS software product in early 2000. Amerinet centralized operations and expanded service offerings nationwide through its Decision Support and Benchmarking Division, headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, located 20 miles north of Pittsburgh. The Decision Support and Benchmarking Division was later re-branded as DataBay Resources, HCMAS became Navigate, and rapid construction of additional products began in response to customer needs.

Since 2000, the software has experienced a dramatic evolution, beginning as a DOS-based, desktop system, moving to a Windows-based system, and then transitioning to an Internet-based system. DataBay takes pride in acknowledging that all of its growth and development has been completed in-house by Amerinet Information Technology staff members, giving DataBay the autonomy to quickly respond to customer feedback by developing products with a high level of customization, flexibility and ease of use.

In addition to Navigate, DataBay Resources now offers an Internet-based version, NavigateNet, as well as Navigate-MD, a physician supply and demand analysis tool now offered on an Internet-based platform. DataBay also developed the Navigate Profitabilty module, which utilizes MedPAR data to assist in the analysis of a facility’s bottom line from many different angles.

In conjunction with its development of Navigate, DataBay Resources also designed a data cleaning and reporting tool called Check, which is used widely in Pennsylvania and has been licensed by the Maine Health Data Organization (MHDO) for all facilities in Maine since 2002. Many successful outcomes accomplished through this partnership led MHDO to sign a five-year agreement to continue using the Check product through 2012.

DataBay Resources provides a full spectrum of ancillary services to complement its extensive software product offerings, including: reporting, analysis, consulting, mapping, and physician verification services.

DataBay Resources’ focus since inception and throughout its evolution has always been its customers. Top priorities for all development initiatives include maintaining ease of use while providing robust functionality. A strong emphasis is placed on customer service through the expertise of the DataBay Application Support Team, whose multiple years of experience with the software tools have prepared them to address customer issues with proficiency. Staff and Support Team members strive to build and sustain strong relationships, creating loyal customers.
